The Vamoots DR
The Vamoots DR is the newest addition to our fabled Vamoots family. A disc specific frame designed for longer days in the saddle, mixed surfaces and classic routes. While other manufactures have retro fitted existing frames to fit disc brakes, Moots has designed the DR from the ground up.
Moots utilizes seamless 3/2.5 US-made titanium to minimize weight while increasing stiffness across the 9 stock sizes. Incorporated is the 44mm head tube that accepts tapered disc road forks and provides a large landing platform for the oversized top and down tube adding to overall front end stiffness. Next they have bumped up the seat tube to a 35mm outside diameter while keeping the 27.2 seat post to aid in comfort in the saddle.
A newly designed road monostay rear end provides a strong landing point for the disc mount, as well as providing generous room for larger tires in the 28mm to 29mm size.
The DR features hooded drop outs grace the rear axle and provide a full circle weld for the 7/8’’ chain stays, putting the power where you need it.
